When the Pantry Calls

Have you ever noticed that when your anxiety goes up, your desire to eat seems to go up too?
Stressful phone call. Unexpected bill. Difficult conversation. Worry about the future.
Before we know it, the pantry seems to be calling our name—not because we're physically hungry, but because we're looking for relief.
The problem is that food can only distract us for a little while. It can't give us the lasting peace our hearts are really searching for.
God invites us to bring our anxieties to Him instead.
"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." — 1 Peter 5:7
This week, when you feel the urge to eat outside your plan, pause for just a moment and ask yourself:
What am I really hungry for?
That simple question may reveal that what you truly need isn't food—it's God's comfort, His peace, and His presence.
He cares about every burden you carry, and He is always ready to help.
If this struggle sounds familiar, I'd love to share a free resource with you. My free No Extra Food Guide offers practical, Christ-centered encouragement to help you stay on track one meal at a time.
