With God All Things Are Possible

With God all things are possible. — Matthew 19:26

For years, I thought the answer was simply trying harder.

Another diet.

Another promise.

Another Monday.

But recovery didn't begin when I became stronger. It began when I stopped relying on my own strength and started trusting God to do what I could not do alone.

In my book "12 Steps to Recovery from Overeating", I wrote:

"We confess that Jesus Christ, the Great Healer, came down from Heaven in human form and is here with us still today in Spirit. He has the power to change our weaknesses and strengthen us in His saving grace."

That doesn't mean life suddenly becomes easy. It means we no longer have to fight our battles alone.

If you've been discouraged because you've tried over and over to overcome overeating in your own strength, don't lose hope. God is still in the business of restoring lives—one day, one meal, and one step at a time.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5

With God, all things are possible. Never stop believing what He can do in your life.
