Many clients sincerely want to stop overeating — yet they keep returning to the same patterns. Why is lasting change so difficult?
Many counselors work with clients who feel discouraged and ashamed about their relationship with food. These individuals often want to change and may have tried countless diets or strategies, yet they continue to struggle with cravings, emotional eating, and repeated setbacks.
Overeating is rarely just about food. Emotional stress, deeply ingrained habits, shame, and the addictive nature of sugar and highly-processed foods can make change far more difficult than many people realize. In addition, recovery programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Overeaters Anonymous have long recognized that lasting change often involves a spiritual component.
In Reshape and Recover, we approach recovery from a Christ-centered perspective, integrating biblical principles, community support, and the structure of the 12 Steps to help individuals experience lasting freedom from compulsive overeating.
This webinar is designed to support the work counselors are already doing by helping you better understand the challenges your clients face and offering practical insights for supporting lasting change.
