Do you have Christmas parties this weekend? You can enjoy the parties without the overeating. The key is prayer and planning before and committing your food to a trusted friend or accountability partner.
Knowing that sugar and other chemicals that are added to foods are addictive, avoiding that first bite is key. The alcoholic knows they can't have one drink, neither can we eat just one of our binge foods - or even one bite. That's okay. We can still enjoy the Christmas parties without eating our binge foods.
Staying abstinent from those foods actually makes the parties more enjoyable, as well as guilt-free and without the pain that comes from overeating. Stay strong and have a blessed Christmas season in celebration of our Savior's birth!
