Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (ESV)
When we obey this directive, we keep our thoughts on Jesus and not ourselves and our wants. We feel better in mind, body and soul, and behave better too.
We are also better able to stay away from our binge foods and eat healthier. It’s okay – and even encouraged – to ask for the strength to eat healthy. It can be helpful to pray “Lord Jesus, please help me to only eat food that adds to my health and stay away from unhealthy foods and my binge foods.”
Dear Lord, please help me to pray continually for your will to be done and help me to carry that out. I love you, Lord, and want to honor You in all I do. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
