Ezekiel 36:26 (NKJV)
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.”
There are moments when it can feel like nothing will ever change—like the same patterns with food, the same thoughts, and the same struggles will always be there. But this verse reminds us of something powerful: real change doesn’t start with trying harder… it starts with God giving us something new.
A new heart means new desires. A new spirit means new strength. This isn’t about forcing yourself into better habits—it’s about allowing God to transform you from the inside out. The same God who promises a new heart is faithful to guide your choices, calm your cravings, and help you walk in a new way.
Basically, the point is… you don’t have to rely on your own willpower. God is doing a deeper work in you. As you turn to Him, even in the small, everyday decisions around food, He is shaping your heart and leading you toward freedom.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me a new heart and a new spirit. This will help guide me to grow in Your love and truth for my life and relationships. Help me in my relationship with food so that I only plan to eat foods that are healthy and nourish my body today. I thank You Lord for your help with healthy eating and exercise today. Amen.
