James 5:7-8 Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.
It can be so hard to be patient. When I first started my 12-step work, I wanted the weight to be gone right away. Of course I knew that wasn’t possible, but that’s what I wanted. It can be so hard to be patient waiting for abstinence – and for the weight to come off. It takes time and patience for the results you are looking for, but it is so worth the wait!
Dear Lord, When I’m having trouble being patient today, help me to turn and surrender all of me back to you and your very best plan for my life today. Amen
