Sunday Devotion

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

This is such a sweet blessing that Paul offers in his letter to the Romans. Paul talks about God as “the God of hope” because He sent His Son to die for us to be a sin substitution for us. He also tells us that the Holy Spirit gives us the power to have this hope. There is nothing for us to do but to be joyful and at peace as we trust in Him.

Dear God, Bless me with your true Biblical hope in Jesus our Lord and Savior. In addition, fill us with your joy and peace as I trust fully and completely in you today.

Help me to overflow with hope to share with others by the power of your Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord – Amen!
