You can make a plan without trying to control everything.

Having an eating plan is important in recovery. It helps us make decisions ahead of time instead of relying on our feelings in the moment.

But even the best plans don't guarantee that everything will go smoothly.

Stress happens. Schedules change. Temptations come. Life doesn't always cooperate.

That's when we have a choice. We can become frustrated and give up, or we can turn to God and ask Him to guide our next step.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)

We are responsible for making wise choices, but we don't have to carry the burden of controlling every outcome.

Make your plan. Do your part. Trust God with the rest.

Tomorrow, in our Saturday recovery meeting, we'll be focusing on Step Three and what it means to turn our will and our lives over to God's care.
