Maybe you are like me. You have a good idea what is healthy and what isn’t. We know a piece of fruit is better than a candy bar. And yet for years, I reached for the candy. I wondered what was wrong with me.
I pretty much knew it was an addiction, but to say I was an addict was something I was not ready to do.
I went to my first Overeaters Anonymous meeting in March 2005, and it took me a year to go back. I wasn’t ready. But after seeing that meeting and living life on my own for another year, I finally saw that yes, I was an addict.
It’s not our fault. The food industry has built generations of food addicts.
But now that we know, we can do something about it. We are not helpless.
What is it that finally did it for me?
• Having a plan
• Having support
• Knowing that God was there to help me
The 12 Steps address the physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual parts of this problem.
Don’t wait for the scary health diagnosis. You can start today.
You can begin with my 4-week live class, A 4-Week Path to Freedom from Overeating, and take your first steps toward recovery.
