If you’re hungry and looking for a snack that won’t lead to overeating, this simple combination might become one of your new favorites.
Many people find rice cakes to be bland, but when you add a tablespoon of sunflower butter, they become a filling, satisfying option for anyone trying to avoid binge triggers.
Sunflower butter provides healthy fats (and some protein) that help slow the absorption of the carbs in the rice cake. This can reduce blood-sugar spikes and help you stay full longer. For those in recovery, sunflower butter is often a safer choice than peanut butter, which can be triggering.
Here are a few tips:
Measure out one tablespoon
Add cinnamon for extra flavor
Enjoy as a steady, balanced snack
And if you watch the video I posted, you’ll even see my lame dance at the end — a little reminder that joy and progress can go hand in hand.
