Grateful for Freedom: My Thanksgiving Reflection

If Thanksgiving week feels heavy for you, I get it — I lived that way for years.
Today I’m simply grateful for how far I’ve come — from years of overeating and obsessing about food… to living in freedom and maintaining a healthy weight. Without God’s help, the 12 Steps, and a supportive group of friends, I never would have made it.
As we head into Thanksgiving week, my heart is overflowing with something I never want to take for granted: I’m grateful to be free.
For many of us, food has been a lifelong struggle. But I also know the freedom and joy that come when we pause, pray, and let God lead us moment by moment.
If you're facing that same tug-of-war this week, you’re not alone. And there is a way forward — a peaceful, steady, grace-filled path. You don’t have to walk it alone.
Wishing you a beautiful week of gratitude, grace, and God’s blessings. 🧡
You truly can “Be Thankful, Be Grateful, Be Blessed.”
Psalm 107:1 (ESV)
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”
