How to Control Your Appetite

Have you struggled with hunger pangs, making it nearly impossible to stick to a plan of eating? Here are some tips to avoid those awful pangs of hunger.

• Don't skip meals as this usually backfires due to excessive hunger

• Be sure to eat a substantial amount of protein

• Eat lots of vegetables

• Eat foods low in sugar - try to keep sugar under 50g per day

• Eat smaller amounts of fruit and carbs

• Be sure to eat some fat - not too much, but your body needs some fat as well

• Drink plenty of water and limit or eliminate alcohol

Eating a balanced diet helps to keep you full and satisfied, so you are less likely to overeat.
