Sunday Devotion

Open Bible, cup of tea, and lamp on a wooden table with warm light. Text: Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."

For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name.

Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you. Psalm 33:21–22 (NIV)

When we trust God, our hearts can be glad — even when life is hard. Trust reminds us that God is working in ways we may not yet see. He is faithful, and His plans for us are good.

Sometimes when we feel overwhelmed, lonely, or discouraged, food can look like the answer. But what we really need is God’s love and presence. His love satisfies our hearts in a way that food never can. As we lean on Him, we can trust that He is working all things together for our good.

Dear Lord, thank You that You love us and are trustworthy. You are good, and we trust You. When we are tempted to turn to food for comfort, please remind us to turn to You instead. Help us bring our thoughts back to You and rest in Your love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
