Overcoming Food Addiction

How does a person overcome food addiction? Maybe you don't think you have an addiction to any food. Try eating your favorite sweet or salty high-carb treat and try eating just half. Can you do it? Maybe once, but on a regular basis can you do it? It's not your fault! Processed foods high in sugar, salt, and other added chemicals are highly addictive. I'm sure I'm not alone in my past struggles with this. There is a solution though. If you will commit to prayer, meal planning, action planning (how to deal with food in difficult situations), community support, and 12-Step work, you can triumph over this cunning addiction. Consider joining a 12-Step support group like Reshape and Recover for help. With God's help, it works when you work the program!
