“And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.” Luke 12:29-31 (NIV)
We worry about so many things – including what we will eat. God’s Word tells us not to worry many times throughout the Bible. We gain nothing by worrying and only lose health physically, mentally and spiritually. Worry is normal, but a great way to combat it is through prayer and reading God’s Word.
Dear Lord, thank You for encouraging me not to worry. Please help me remember You and Your promises when I begin to worry. Help me to turn to You and Your Word instead. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
