Saturday Step: Step 6

Step 6. Romans 6:11-12 says "In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires." We become ready to have God remove our defects of character so we can live as He wants us to live: free from the pain that sin causes. Of course we will never be perfect, which is why God sent His son, Jesus, to die for the forgiveness of our sins. But out of love for all that God has done for us, we ask God and strive to have all our defects removed. Romans 6:14 says "For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace." Amen and praise God!
