Sunday Devotion: Psalm 34:17-18

Psalm 34:17-18 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

There’s deep comfort in knowing that God hears us—not just when our words are polished and prayers are strong, but even when all we can do is cry out. This verse reminds us that He’s not distant. He listens, and He responds.

When we feel trapped in unhealthy patterns, weighed down by regret, or unsure how to take the next step—God is near. His deliverance may not always come instantly, but He’s always working for our good and drawing us closer to Him.

Father, thank You for hearing me when I cry out. You know my struggles, and You never turn away. Deliver me from anything that keeps me stuck, and give me the strength to follow where You lead. I trust You to walk with me each step of the way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
