Healing Relationships Through Christ-Centered Recovery: Embracing Step 8

As we journey toward recovery from overeating, Step 8 invites us to reflect on our past actions and acknowledge the harm we may have caused others. It’s easy to focus solely on our struggles, but God calls us to recognize how our behaviors can impact those around us.

In this step, we’re reminded of the importance of humility and accountability. By making a list of those we have harmed—whether through our words, actions, or our relationship with food—we can begin the process of healing and reconciliation.

📖 Ephesians 4:32 encourages us, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

As we seek to make amends, let’s also turn to God in prayer, asking for His guidance and strength. It’s through His grace that we can find the courage to reach out, apologize, and make things right.

Together, let’s embrace this step with open hearts, knowing that with Christ at the center of our recovery, we can experience true healing—not just for ourselves but for those we've affected.

💖 Let’s support one another on this journey toward freedom from overeating and deeper connections with God and each other. Remember, every step we take brings us closer to the life He desires for us!
