🌟 Step 7: We Humbly Turn to God 🌟
One of the biggest mistakes many of us make is believing we can overcome overeating through sheer willpower.
We promise ourselves we'll do better tomorrow.
We'll be stronger next time.
We'll finally get it right.
But recovery isn't about becoming strong enough on our own.
Step 7 reminds us that we cannot overcome sin and temptation on our own. We need God's help.
Whether our struggle is overeating, emotional eating, dishonesty, pride, fear, resentment, or self-reliance, lasting change begins when we stop trying to fix ourselves and start depending on Him.
The good news is that God already made a way for us through Jesus Christ. He loved us enough to send His Son to die for our sins, and because He first loved us, we desire to follow Him and honor Him with our lives.
None of us will do this perfectly. Recovery is not about perfection. It's about surrender.
Every day we have another opportunity to turn toward God, ask for His help, and take the next right step.
Imagine the freedom that comes from no longer carrying the burden alone.
What might change if you stopped trying to do it all yourself and allowed God to help?
đź’› Recovery begins with humility, but it grows through God's grace.
