Sunday Devotion: 1 John 1:7

Oct 11
1 min read
Bible and tea on a sunlit wooden table, with Psalm 119:105 overlayed: Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 (NIV)

Walking in the light means choosing to follow Jesus in our daily thoughts, decisions, and actions. When we fall short, we can turn to Him, confess our sins, and receive His forgiveness. This includes our struggles with food and caring for the bodies God has given us. As we seek His guidance each day, He helps us make healthier choices and continue growing in our faith and recovery.

Dear Lord, thank You for forgiving me when I fall short and sin. Your Word says that the blood of Jesus cleanses me from all my sins. Please help me treat my body as the temple of the Holy Spirit. Please help me and guide me by developing a healthy eating plan and action plan today for my good and to give You all the glory, honor and praise with thanksgiving and gratitude. Amen!
