Sunday Devotion

Open Bible, teacup, and lamp on a wooden table with text reading "Psalm 119:105 'Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.'"

“Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.” – Psalm 85:12

This verse is such a gentle reminder that God is the source of real, lasting good in our lives. Progress and growth don’t come only from our striving — they come from His blessing. When the soil is tended and aligned with Him, fruit comes in the right season.

In recovery, it’s easy to focus only on effort — food plans, willpower, routines. Those things matter, but lasting change happens as we stay close to God and trust Him to do the deeper work in us. Our part is to keep showing up, stay willing, and tend the soil of our hearts. His part is the increase.

Lord, thank You that You are the giver of what is truly good. Help me trust You with my growth — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Teach me to be faithful in small daily steps and to rely on You for the fruit that follows. Amen.
