“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 22-23 (ESV)
The Bible tells us that we are filled with the Holy Spirit and that when we live by the Spirit, we receive the gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
It is faith in our Lord Jesus Christ that saves us, but if we walk by the spirit, we receive more gifts from God. We can pray for these gifts, and for help in walking in His Spirit now and always. God hears our prayers!
Dear Lord Jesus, I pray for Your fruit of the Spirit in my life today. I especially ask for self-control with my eating choices and portions today. Please help me stick to my eating plan and action plan and not eat more than my body needs to be fully nourished today. Help me not to be tempted to eat my binge foods. Thank You Lord. Amen!
