Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
These passages remind us that we don't always understand why hard things happen to us. To help us better understand, remember Jeremiah 29:11 which says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." During the hard times, let us remember that God sees the whole picture while we do not, and know that he has good plans for us.
Dear Lord, Please help me remember that you know all things, that you love me, and that you have plans to prosper me and not harm me. Plans to give me hope and a future. Help me feel comforted by your Word and your love for me and trust that you will make all things right. Amen!
