Sunday Devotion

Open Bible with text "Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." Cup of tea and a book on a wooden table.
A peaceful morning scene with an open Bible and a steaming cup of tea, illuminated by soft sunlight, captures the essence of contemplation and spiritual reflection.

Isaiah 46:3-4 "Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob, all the remnant of the people of Israel, you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you."

God carries us from our beginning to our end. In a world where people tell us to rely on our own strength, God’s Word tells us He is the sustainer of life and rescues us. He carries us when we feel weak and walks with us all the days of our lives.

This same God will surely help us with our overeating. As Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, “pray continually,” and again in Romans 12:12 to be “faithful in prayer.” When we pray, miracles can happen!

Lord, please help us to remember that You have been with us and carry us from the beginning to the end of our lives. Help us to trust in that and to pray to You continually/unceasingly. Help us to draw from Your strength and follow You in everything we do. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
