Sunday Devotion - Jeremiah 9:23–24

Jeremiah 9:23–24 (NIV) “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.
Our strength and wisdom come from the Lord, not from our own abilities. As we grow in our relationship with Him, we learn to depend on His guidance rather than our own understanding. Even when it comes to our eating habits and daily choices, we can humbly seek His wisdom and depend on His strength to help us make good decisions. Our confidence is not in what we can accomplish on our own, but in the goodness and faithfulness of God.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that my greatest blessing is knowing You and experiencing Your kindness, love, and righteousness. Help me not to depend on my own wisdom or strength, but to humbly seek Your guidance in everything I do. As I make my healthy eating and action plans today, help me to rely on Your wisdom and strength to make good choices. May I always remember that every blessing and victory comes from You, and may I give You all the praise and glory. In Jesus' name, Amen!
