You Know What to Do… But Still Can’t Stay Consistent

Most people I talk to don’t need more information about how to eat healthy.
They already know.
They know a piece of fruit is better than a candy bar.
They know they should probably eat more protein and fewer processed foods.
They’ve tried diets, plans, and programs.
And sometimes… it even works for a while.
But then something happens.
The motivation fades.
The stress hits.
Old habits come back.
And before long, they find themselves right back in the same cycle.
If that’s you, there’s nothing wrong with you.
The problem isn’t that you don’t know what to do.
The problem is that knowledge alone isn’t enough to create lasting change.
What finally made the difference for me wasn’t another diet.
It was structure, support, and learning to rely on God instead of myself.
When I began working the 12 steps in a Christ-centered way, things started to shift.
Not overnight.
Not perfectly.
But consistently.
Instead of trying harder, I started doing something different.
I stopped relying on willpower alone and began building a foundation that could actually support change.
One of the biggest things I’ve learned is this:
Consistency doesn’t come from motivation.
It comes from structure, support, and surrender.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, maybe the next step isn’t trying harder.
Maybe it’s finding a different way to approach the problem.
If you’re looking for a simple place to start, I have put together a small 4-week class to help people begin this process in a structured, supportive, Christ-centered way.
