Balance, Not Extremes

A balance scale holds a green Bible on one side and a red apple on the other, symbolizing faith and nutrition. Beside it, a hand balances a red dumbbell on one finger, symbolizing exercise. Text on the image reads: “Balance, Not Extremes – For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things.” (1 Timothy 4:8).
True health is about balance — honoring God through nutrition, exercise, and faith without letting any become an obsession. 🌿

Caring for our bodies is important, but it’s not about obsessing.

1 Timothy 4:8 says, “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”

Exercise, rest, and nutrition matter—but they are not the ultimate goal. But too much of any one of these can actually harm our health, rather than help it. Our soul health comes first. When we seek God daily, balance flows into how we eat, move, and rest.

Next time you feel guilty about resting, remember: honoring God also means caring for your body with balance.
