If You Messed Up This Week, Read This Before You Quit
If you’re ending this week thinking…
“I blew it again.”
“I had a good streak, and then I messed up.”
“I’m back at square one.”
I used to get so discouraged after a slip and give up thinking I failed again.
Please hear this:
You are not a failure.
And you don’t have to quit.
Shame loves the moment you want to quit — when those thoughts start saying:
“You’ll never change.”
“You’re too weak.”
“God must be disappointed in you.”
But that’s not God’s voice.
📖 “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)
Here’s what to do instead of quitting:
✅ Tell the truth (no excuses, no shame)
✅ Ask: “What was I really needing in that moment?”
✅ Take the next right step — not the perfect step
Recovery isn’t about perfection.
It’s about abstinence, community, reliance on God, and daily spiritual growth.
If today is hard: don’t restart your whole life.
Just take the next right step.
💛 You’re not alone.
