How to Avoid Extra Food.

You can know you’re not hungry and still want to eat.
Have you ever stood in the kitchen knowing perfectly well that your body didn’t need food—but still felt a strong pull to eat something?
I have.
For a long time, I thought the answer was simply to have more self-control.
But if knowing better were enough, most of us wouldn't struggle with overeating in the first place.
One of the things I've learned in recovery is that the desire to eat when we're not physically hungry is worth paying attention to. Something is happening beneath that urge.
Sometimes it's emotional. Sometimes it's physical. Sometimes we've developed habits and patterns around food that have become very difficult to interrupt.
And sometimes food has simply become the way we've learned to cope with life.
Recovery helped me stop looking at those moments as a battle I just needed to win through willpower—and start recognizing that there were deeper things I needed to address.
That's one reason I'm so passionate about helping people find freedom from overeating. There really is a different way to live.
You don't have to spend the rest of your life fighting with food. ❤️
