Many of us spent years trying to change our eating through willpower alone, only to find ourselves discouraged and starting over again.
Step Eleven reminds us that lasting recovery isn't simply about avoiding certain foods. It's about seeking a closer relationship with God.
"Sought a personal relationship with God through daily time in His Word and in prayer asking God to be in our every thought, word, and action."
When we begin our day in God's Word and stay connected to Him through prayer, our focus shifts from our cravings to Christ.
His Word gives us direction.
His presence gives us peace.
His strength gives us power for the next right choice.
"Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." — Matthew 4:4
Before reaching for food today, consider reaching for your Bible, whispering a prayer, or simply asking:
"Lord, what would You have me do right now?"
Recovery happens one day at a time, one prayer at a time, and one surrendered choice at a time.
