Psalm 118:24 The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
In this verse, God reminds us that even though Jesus was rejected, that he has become the cornerstone - the one who will save us from our sins. He came to earth and lived a perfect and holy life, then died to be a sin substitute for us. Each new day He has given us is a day for us to rejoice and be glad! In our gladness, we will try to honor Him in everything we do.
Dear Heavenly Father, I praise you for this new day! As I start my day, please help me to follow your best plan for my life today. I need you to help me plan to live better and healthier today. I need your help in planning healthy eating and exercise so that I can be the person you have called me to be. I thank you that I can always depend on you to help me through every challenge I face. Amen.
