Sunday Devotion

Open Bible on a wooden table with a teacup and teapot. Text reads, "Psalm 119:105 'Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.'"
A cozy morning scene with a Bible verse providing inspiration, accompanied by an open Bible, a cup of tea, and warm sunlight spilling across the wooden table.

Isaiah 53: 6 “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

We have gone to our own way just to live our best lives. It's not wrong to pursue good things, but sometimes we take it too far and we forget about the things of God and let selfishness and greed creep into our lives. But God loved us so much, He sent His Son to die for us to be our sin-sacrifice. Believing in God's promise, we don't need to stay in our shame or defeat. We can turn from our selfish and gluttonous ways and ask God for help.

Dear Lord, help us to turn from our selfish and gluttonous ways and follow You in our every thought, word and deed. Give us the strength we need to avoid unhealthy foods and quantities to better care for the bodies you gave us. Help us to follow You in all our ways. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
