John 15:12-13 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
Jesus commanded us to love each other, just as He loved us and died for us. People can be very difficult to get along with but most of us are doing the best we can in the situations we face.
Remembering this, and that we all fall short in different ways, helps us to love and forgive others. When we do this, we not only follow Jesus’ command, we make life a little bit better for us and for others. When we find peace in relationships, we find we have one less deep emotion to eat over.
Dear Lord, help me to remember Your commandment to love each other. We are all struggling with sin in different ways. When I remember Your love, sacrifice, and forgiveness, I can love and forgive others too. Amen.
