Sunday Devotion

Bible and teacup on wood table, sunlight casting warm glow. Text reads: Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."

Hebrews 11:1-2 (ESV) Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation.

Even though we have not seen the things described in Scripture, we believe and have faith. Just like Abraham and the others, our faith is credited to us as righteousness by God. It is through faith that we are saved.

With this same faith, we can trust that God will help us in our earthly struggles — even with food. Praying for faith and strength through our Lord and Savior helps us stay strong in times of temptation.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for Your Word. Through it, we believe and are saved. We look forward to our life with You in Heaven and strive to live faithfully here on Earth, following Your ways. Please give us the strength we need to do this in every area of our lives, including our food struggles. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
