Open Bible and teacup on sunlit table, with a dark book and glass jar; text reads Psalm 119:105: Your word is a lamp for my feet.

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

— Luke 11:9–10 (NIV)

When we’re struggling, it can be easy to turn to food for comfort, relief, or escape. But Jesus reminds us that we can ask God for the help we need and seek His presence for the peace and comfort our binge foods can never truly provide.

We can also knock on the doors God places before us—doors that lead to support, healing, growth, and deeper recovery. Today, instead of reaching for false comfort, we can ask, seek, knock, and trust God to provide what we truly need.

Dear Holy Spirit, thank You that I can come to You and ask for help whenever I need it. Help me to seek Your presence for the peace and comfort I sometimes look for in food. Give me the willingness to knock on the doors You place before me and the courage to walk through the ones You open. Help me follow my food plan today and make choices that support the healthy and blessed life You desire for me. May the blessings You give me also allow me to be a blessing to others. Amen.
