Have you ever noticed how much emotional energy it takes to carry around resentment, guilt, or an unresolved relationship?

For me, recovery from overeating has involved more than changing what I eat. I've also had to become willing to look at my relationships—and sometimes acknowledge where I haven't handled things well.

That isn't always comfortable. It's much easier to focus on what someone else did to me.

But God doesn't show us these things to condemn us. He can use them to help us grow, heal, and become more like Him.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1 (NIV)

Sometimes freedom begins with simply being willing to let God show us what needs healing.

If you’d like to go deeper, I walk through all 12 Steps from a Christ-centered perspective in my book, 12 Steps to Recovery from Overeating: A Christ-Centered Walk Through the 12 Steps. It includes practical guidance and questions to help you apply each Step to your own recovery. It's available on Amazon here: https://a.co/d/b59l7hh
