Sometimes we know what to do—but we still feel stuck.

We know the foods that cause us trouble. We know we need to turn to God instead of food. We may even have a food plan, pray, read Scripture, and sincerely want to change.

But knowing and doing aren't always the same thing.

Sometimes we need to step away from our normal routines long enough to look more closely at what's keeping us stuck.

That's part of what I hope our Renew • Reflect • Restore retreat will provide.

We'll spend the weekend walking through the 12 Steps from a Christ-centered perspective, talking honestly about recovery from overeating and emotional eating, sharing practical tools, and making room for reflection, conversation, prayer, and fellowship.

It's not about having a perfect weekend or coming home magically “fixed.”

It's about making space to listen to God, learn, connect with others who understand, and take another step forward in recovery.
