One Bite Was Never Enough

ree

In my early recovery, I kept trying to eat “just a little” of my favorite binge foods.

But like alcohol for an alcoholic… one bite was never enough.

Then I heard Bill W.’s story — how he couldn’t stop drinking once he started — and it hit me:

That was me.

That moment changed everything.

I became willing to fully surrender those foods — and by God’s grace, I’ve been abstinent since April 2008.

Not because of willpower… but because I stopped trying to manage what needed to be surrendered.
