I Decided to Stop

I decided to stop eating — and that used to feel impossible.
There was a time in my life when stopping mid-meal didn’t even feel like an option. Once I started eating, I felt driven to finish — even when I knew I would feel physically miserable afterward.
Not because I was hungry.
But because the food was there.
Because I paid for it.
Because I didn’t want to waste it.
In this video, I share a small but powerful moment: I stopped eating before I felt sick.
That may sound simple. For someone who struggles with overeating, it’s not. It’s a skill that has to be learned over time — with awareness, support, and practice.
Here’s what I’ve discovered through my own recovery and through coaching others:
✔ Healthy food can still be too much food
✔ Feeling good matters more than finishing everything
✔ Stopping before discomfort is not restriction — it’s wisdom
✔ This is a skill anyone can grow into
If you’ve ever felt like you can’t stop once you start eating, please hear this: you are not broken, and you are not alone. Change doesn’t come from trying harder — it comes from learning new tools and getting support.
That’s what we focus on inside Reshape and Recover — practical, faith-centered steps toward real freedom with food.
