Recovery isn’t about reaching a finish line — it’s about walking closely with God one day at a time.
By the time we reach this point in our journey, we’ve faced the past and made peace with it. Now, we’re learning how to stay spiritually strong and emotionally balanced as new challenges arise.
Each day brings fresh opportunities to pause and reflect:
💭 Did my words or actions honor God and others today?
🙏 Am I carrying any resentment, fear, or guilt that needs releasing?
💗 Where did I see God’s grace at work in my life?
When we slow down long enough to notice these things, we begin to live with greater awareness, humility, and peace. This isn’t about perfection — it’s about staying connected to God’s guidance and making small course corrections as we go.
Recovery deepens as we learn to “keep short accounts” — admitting when we’re wrong, seeking forgiveness quickly, and moving forward with grace. It’s this daily rhythm that protects us from slipping back into old habits and helps us maintain the peace and freedom we’ve found in Christ.
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.”— Psalm 139:23
